In late 2018 the BNP Paribas Open launched an ad featuring top ATP/WTA players stroking the ball and the ball bursting into flowers to promote this year’s Tennis Paradise: In Full Bloom theme. In keeping with this notion, fans may have noticed a similar photo activation en route to the merchandise plaza.
This year, Bank of the West presents “Artistic Aces” to tournament goers. This booth offers patrons ages 18 and over, and kids with parental approval, the opportunity to sign up, take a selfie with a racquet-secured cell phone, and then stroke a virtual tennis ball while creating a self-portrait – “In Full Bloom”. This portrait can then be emailed and shared via social media or printed once the fan returns home.
On Friday, Bank of the West joined in the celebration of International Women’s Day by contributing $10 for every participant opting into support the HeForShe Movement. Fans can also follow all of the action at the BNP via a complimentary Bank of the West earpiece radio.tuned to commentary from the Tennis Channel and ESPN. Radios will be distributed at the Artistic Aces activation twice-daily on a first-come, first-served basis.
