Brett Connors Photography News
Today Alejandro, our star photo editor, story editor, and new tennis player, found a classic t2000. In honor of the fantastic Wilson racket, and in honor of the greatest Lefty of the 1970's and 1980's and part of the 1990's, we made this gallery of Brett's work.

So is it Li Na, or Na Li, Na Li or Li Na, I can never get it right! Well after Saturday night in Melbourne you can just call her, The 2014 Australian Open Champion how about that? After reaching the final twice before losing tough matches to Victoria Azarenka and Kim Clijsters, she wasn't going to let another opportunity get away...
Don't know what to say really after watching the men's final Sunday night in Melbourne. Except this is what I have been wishing could happen at a grand slam for a while. I know the big 4 have dominated tennis for some time now but I kinda like that idea that more than just 4 guys have a chance coming into a slam to win.
So, the story was an all Swiss final, it's staring us right in the face, right? Stan's already in and Feds's got a new coach, new racquet, and is playing great, already having beaten Tsonga and Murray both former finalists down under. Plus Rafa's got that blister that everyone's talking about...
The Australian Open is well into its second week and we found out tonight that we will have a new mens champion. As Stanislas Wawrinka took out the 3 time defending champion Novak Djokovic, in a dramatic 5 set marathon win.

Every morning during the Australian Open I walk to the tennis which is about a mile away from my hotel. During my walk I cross a bridge, underneath there are train tracks leading to Melbourne train station. Despite being a good photo opportunity with the skyline behind me I think it's a cool way to illustrate the tennis tour and especially the 4 grand slams.
Today was a long one. For the first time all tourney the heat rule came into affect and pushed tennis back in to the wee hours of the night. The day concluded with 5 setters spread all over the grounds, the upset of the tournament so far was my guy Del Po going out in the 2nd rd.
The heat continues to play a big role in this years AO. While it's supposed to cool down dramatically by the weekend, some players are finding it difficult to make it to week 2. Go ahead and put Djokovic in the finals, only threat on his half of the draw is Berdych, but I don't think he can hang with Djoker in best of 5.
Its hot out! Or at least thats what everyone is saying, tweeting, insta-gramming, and posting screen grabs of the weeks forecast of. I don't know, except for my walk into work this morning I spent all day in the ESPN production truck working on the telecast of the days matches, but from what I could see, it was a steamy one!
