Team 10sballs always likes to send some “scouts” early to any event. Why? Simple. It’s certain that by the time “Big Boss” shows up all the quirks have been ironed out. So.
The good news. Daisy and I are the scouts. We have changed the hotel once. The rooms twice. And every little detail is set. The press officer at the FRENCH is truly amazing. She runs one of the toughest events in the world and she is among a handful of truly great media directors.
Ok. So Daisy and I have already been in Paris for days. We are having a really productive trip. I guess so much that our social media caused the site to crash. Ok. That hasn’t happened in forever. So there you go. We caused an earthquake to the site’s analytics.
Ok. We’ve watched our buddy and Belgian Davis Cup star Ruben Bemelmans. He has one more round to go.
We watched Ernests Gulbis play on the without a doubt noisiest tennis court ever. Noisiest match ever for us. Oh my gosh. He blew four match points in the second set Tiebreaker.
He eventually won • Ernests Gulbis defeated Stefano Travaglia 63 67(7) 61.
The noise was beyond ridiculous. I’ve played public parks all over the world and never heard such a “racket” (sorry had to use it). But seriously, trolleys and dollies going by. Non stop • After all. It is set-up week. The match was like playing on an airport Tarmac. I would have said Grand Central Station. But not the demographics. A huge shout out to our followers in Paris. We here at 10sBalls feel the love.
There’s just nothing on earth like Paris in the springtime.
