Paul Hanley with Fraser Russell

LOVEY’S LOB LONDON 2018

This was an amazing event. Amazing. It’s literally all a blur. When I sort out my notes maybe I’ll remember more. My favorite part? Easy. Still the boat ride. You wake up. You eat breakfast. Unless you are Ricky. He calls breakfast 1/2/3 pints. No, not of beer. Of ice cream.

Ok. My day. I walk two hundred steps. Show my boat pass. And join the “family”. We are all heading up the Thames in a beauty of a water taxi. You are sitting with all the greats. And past greats. And Sascha’s dog. And physios. And trainers. And coaches and family. And it’s just fun. Sometimes the boat is quiet. And sometimes it’s buzzing. Sometimes the ride is smooth and sometimes the ride is choppy. It’s always chilly. I love the boat photos that get posted. I’ve sat with the Serbs. The FRENCH. The Croatians. The Aussies. All of them.

The Belarusian star. Yes. Max the Beast Mirnyi. No. Not this year. But in 2012. He had won in 2011. We weren’t going to miss this one. It was epic.

Max turned 41 this year at WIMBLEDON. We had a great party in the players restaurant. RF was even nearby. Not sure if he ate the yummy cake.

The level of tennis is so strong. It’s hard to explain the intensity that starts from the first ball to the last.

I had Sascha as winning once we got to the finals. I have been watching him for 10 years. He will break a lot of records. Not ROGER’S, RAFA’S, or Novak’s. But in 1,000 and lots of Slams. And all these other new formats.

The kid has worked so hard. He really has it all. A solid family. The big brother who showed the family the way. The cutest little doggie. A great team of support. And a personality that has the innocence of youth as well as virtue.

We thank Fraser Russell for once again making our visit “smooth”. We are looking at 20 years now? All we know is that anytime you need something done in London, try his services. They are brilliant. Great to see Paul Hanley half of our favorite Aussie doubles teams. Wayne Arthurs where are you mate?

We really had fun. We really worked hard but our field trips to the WIMBLEDON museum as well as behind the house tours.

The breakfast. Yes, more than one with April at her Queen’s Club. We saw a FANTASTIC tourney going on there. It was an international “Real” tennis matches. In America. ️Maybe called “court” tennis.

Ok. Best part? All too good to choose anything at this moment. But Hillary ️please let us know if we were the reason the ice cream cooler was locked. And if we owe for Ricky’s LOVE of sweets.

How does that boy eat all those calories…
