Roger Federer Had A Dream to Honor one of the All Time Greats. He did it!

He has honored A true Living Legend. The Aussie generation of the 1960s was totally amazing. The depth in men’s tennis was strongest in history of AUSTRALIAN tennis. They literally could have had 4/5 Davis Cup squads. Thank you Harry Hopman.

So for Rod “The Rocket” LAVER to have won two GRAND SLAMS is totally amazing. A true GRAND SLAM is winning all four MAJORS in a calendar year. Then and only then have you won a GRAND SLAM. Rod did it twice! No one has achieved even one since. Yet alone two!

Memory say 1962/ and 1969. (Now gotta look it up.) But all we can say is bravo Roger for making this happen. Word is next year it’s in SWITZERLAND. Bravo. Tennis is blessed with maestros. Talent. And great sportsmanship.

Ps. And Fyi to THE Super Suits. All you Slam tourney directors. Any tourney directors. Treat the rest of the male and female Legends with respect invite them all to your tourneys. They have so much to add to any event. We heard Ken Rosewall had to pass notes via locker room attendants. All players that are “Final 8″ or Davis Cup players should have access to today’s players. In the lounges. Not stuck away with a grounds pass. If any invite at all. Back at Forest Hills “Geezer” once had a chat with Fred Perry. He was wearing a tournament guest pass as we’re all the former players. What a memory (LJ)
