Tennis Gossip from Around The Globe. By Lovey  |

Novak Djokovic and his lovely Jelena Ristic have been a couple for 8 years and it looks like he intends to make it Mr. & Mrs. In the coming year. They really make a beautiful couple. Jelena is often seen court side and often photographed with the adorable French poodle named Pierre. Last year Global Chick sat with Jelena , Pierre and the amazing player turned coach Dusan Vemic. Yes the same handsome bearded man that you always saw on the practice courts with Novak. Dusan is arriving in America today for a series of tourneys. O.K. back to the story. It was at a fundraiser event and so many people were asking Jelena for pictures or could they pat the poodle. She was jet lagged and being constantly interrupted but always so pleasant and obliged to all. She runs Novak’s foundation and Jelena Vemic assists in some capacity. Both Dusan and Jelena Vemic are hardworking bright funny people and super photographers. We are proud they are part of the 10sballs family.

Max Mirnyi back in Bradenton. Max likes living in places that begin with the letter “B”. Belarus to Brooklyn to Bradenton. If you haven’t been to his pizza place just outside the academy in Florida you must go. It’s the greatest wood oven pizza and a big menu of pasta etc. it’s called ” Break Point. ” Max won his doubles this week end in Davis Cup and led his country to another win. He was also awarded the prestigious International Tennis Federation Davis Cup commitment award. Bravo dear “Beast”.

Maria Sharapova finally got her beloved agent and dear friend Max Eisenbud to Sochi. We know the great bond those two have. Max is a great guy. Who loves their agent ? Max Eisenbud is truly a king within the tennis family. We all love him.

We got a postcard today from Maria’s new coach the maestro Sven Groeneveld. ( Orange Coach ) It was awesome. He was out for a run and it looked like he was covered in snow or icicles. I thought he ran faster than that ? Ok I’ll post it so the world can see. We think he is in Germany or maybe home in Amsterdam where his academy’s are. Where’s Xavier Malisse ? Where’s Waldo ?

Roger Federer is such a stud and awesome friend and coolest dude. The best tennis player ever helped out Stan , Severin , and Switzerland by playing Davis cup this weekend. What a great move. Your friends here @10balls Really applaud your efforts.

Las Vegas is getting team tennis. It should be awesome. It’s summer nights but it won’t be as hot as Melbourne was. The players are still feeling the effects. They got broiled , roasted , toasted , fried , cooked , overheated. And get this. If a player wanted a ice wrap or ice vest or ice anything. It needed to be pre – ordered or arranged ? The tourney powers that be are CRAzY. That was a miserable first week of heat. It was not reasonable to be a spectator. But to be a players ? Lucky no one died ! A lot of players were seeing things. One guy thought Snoopy was on his court and he knew it wasn’t kids day and wasn’t that Sponge Bob ? The heat index rises from the court heat. Reflection. Stadium heat. Hard scape all around intensifies the heat. These morons were looking for humidity …

Thank you Tennis Channel for all the great Davis Cup coverage. You keep tennis the 10sballs bouncing. Thanks for 10 great years.
