Marseille

Singles – First Round: (7) I Ljubicic def. F Serra (WC) 6-4 6-7(3-7) 6-3

Ivan Ljubicic is out of the Top Forty and struggling. One more win would perhaps get him back to #40, but what are the odds if he struggled like this against a fading wildcard?

Singles – First Round: F Cipolla def. (8) A Seppi 6-4 7-6(7-4)

A tough place for seeds, this. Andreas Seppi remains below #40.

Singles – First Round: E Roger-Vasselin def. (2) J Nieminen 6-2 7-6(7-4)

This took less than eighty minutes. There aren’t many Jarkko Nieminen matches that end that quickly — usually he gets more balls back. He will stay stuck around #45.

Doubles – First Round: Guez/Serra (WC) def. Hanley/J Murray 3-6 7-1(7-1) 10-8 (Match TB)
