Singles – Second Round: (1) J Monaco def. I Andreev 6-2 6-1
No points for Juan Monaco yet; his next match will count if he wins. Igor Andreev will remain well below #100; he will probably be playing qualifying pretty soon.

Singles – Second Round: F Gil def. (4) P Andujar 6-2 6-1
Pablo Andujar doesn’t lose any points, but he does lose his Top Forty chance.

Singles – Second Round: (5) A Montanes def. R Dutra Silva (Q) 7-5 6-2
One more win and Albert Montanes will probably return to the Top Fifty. The clay really does seem to be reviving him.

Singles – Second Round: J Chardy def. L Mayer 7-5 6-2
Jeremy Chardy faces Gil next, so we are guaranteed an unseeded semifinalist.

Doubles – First Round: Bellucci/Melo def. Montanes/Navarro 6-4 6-2

Doubles – First Round: Souza/Zeballos def. Capdeville/Massu (WC) 7-5 4-6 10-5 (Match TB)
