Dr. Chiro has pointed out that Roger Federer has only pulled out of a tournament twice…. once he was already in the event…
But… Drumroll ….. Roger has never quit on a match. Ever!!
Dr. Chiro also made an interesting statement. He said that Roger’s game relies on speed, flexibility, intuition, ingenuity, and imagination….. Please read his current story with his observations on the men’s seeds going into the Australian Open… Very insightful.
We hope you are enjoying the aloha that Shubert has been supplying. Nathan’s blogs are super. Reyes’ newsletters will be daily during the two weeks of the Oz Open….. the “10s Whenever” Newsletters.
We are all wondering what’s up with Andy Roddick and his silly hair. The color. The style. The look. One staffer said he looked like a cabbage patch doll. All I know is he is on edge. He seemed testy and grumpy during a recent press conference. Poor Andy. We hope it’s a joke. It looks like a Squirrel is on his head…..
I have been reading a tweet here and there. On @bgnation, (Brad Gilbert). He said hotels are charging for wi-fi in the rooms. Wow. As much as $25 a day. Double wow! That’s sad to charge for a service like that. After all isn’t the hotel business the service industry? Aren’t tennis events?
There was a Global Chick siting in Australia. There was also an Auzzie Chick siting. 10sballs.com needs those chicks. Why? Because we don’t cover the chicks enough. I think it’s not fifty / fifty on the site ?
The Tennis Channel looks to be planning a good amount of televised coverage.
The WTA has a new patch the ladies are wearing. They so insult their sponsor. The patch is poorly designed. The biggest most prominent part of the patch should say SONY Ericsson. In big letters not WTA…..
Please help us with our social media. Like us on facebook. Retweet us. Encourage your tennis friends to sign up for our newsletters. We are trying to find out more about whose eligible for the olympics. Especially the doubles teams. Anyone out there know?
Roger. Roger. Roger. You are the best tennis player ever. You are the G.O.A.T. ! You are really Betterer. But you are only one guy with a big, big , big , big life. Mirka and her pink hat looked adorable. The girls look beautiful. Leo and Lenny are adorable.
G'day from Melbourne. The jetlagged team is finally getting it together. It's so great being down here. It feels so good. We always feel jittery till the tourney gets going. That first round match in any tourney is tough.
Hawaii was awesome. We even took a short heli - ride to Lanai to catch a dinner before we left the islands. We made a puddle jump to the Island of Lanai for some sliders @NOBU among everything else yummy there. Last time we were in Lanai was 25 years ago ,time flies and there wasn't a Nobu.
Aloha and Mahalo. There's nothing like the north shore of Oahu. Especially during the Triple crown. Or even better the "Eddie" ... BIG Waves ... This has always been a favorite pit stop on the way to Australia. Whether we are coming from east coast / west coast it just helps in length of flight and jet lag.
Greetings from London. It's cold , it's damp , rain is expected , welcome to London. But when you are @ the ATP championships who cares ? Big Ben is our alarm clock ! The London EYE is in our view and the town is tennis crazy. Sounds like I'm in the right place. From the moment the car came to collect us ( thank you Richard Branson ) the magic carpet ride began.
As Novak Djokovic and Stan Wawrinka ready for their semi-final match Friday evening under the lights on Rod Laver Arena, expectations are high. Not only are both players in top form, having torn through their respective Australian Open draws, but they have also provided show-stopping performances in Melbourne over the past two years.
Andy Murray’s point in the direction of his box after punching his ticket to a fourth Australian Open final on Thursday seemed to say it all. The Scot’s camp could breathe a sigh of relief after watching Murray defeat World No. 7 Tomas Berdych 6-7(6), 6-0, 6-3, 7-5 in a thrilling semi-final match that featured equal parts drama and intensity.
Novak Djokovic has countless fans worldwide, but perhaps none bigger than three-month-old son Stefan. The World No. 1’s wife, Jelena, tweeted a photo of Stefan watching his dad on television during his quarter-final match against Milos Raonic at the Australian Open.
The singles semifinals, of course, stole all the headlines (well, except this one!) on Thursday at the Australian Open. That was always going to be the case with a lineup featuring Serena Williams vs. Madison Keys, Andy Murray vs. Tomas Berdych, and Maria Sharapova also in action.
